WHAT IS AN X-RAY?
X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation that produces images of the structures inside the body. X-ray beams pass through the body and are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the material they are passing through.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
X-rays are a quick, non-invasive exam. Depending on the area being x-rayed your tech will place you in front of the machine. You may be asked to wear a gown depending on the area being scanned.
