Frequently Asked Questions

Before you come in to CDI for your exam here are answers to a few common questions you may have:

What do I need to bring the day of my exam?

Please be sure to bring all of your current insurance cards and ID at the time of exam, we will scan it into our system which will help to insure timely billing. Any co-payments are also due at the time of your scan, some insurances charge a co-pay for each scan per visit.

What should I wear?

Depending on your exam you may be asked to wear a gown. But for most exams we recommend wearning comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. It is important that you do not wear any clothing with metal, or hair clips with metal, this includes zippers and metal cappings on the end of draw strings. These small metal pieces can show up on your exam. If you have any questions on specific clothing please feel free to call us and ask.

Can I bring someone into the exam room with me?

You may bring someone into the room for MRI, X-ray and Ultrasound. We cannot however allow extra persons into the exam room during CT exams due to radiation exposure.

What if I have claustrophobia or become anxious?

We do offer Valium for claustrophobia and/or anxiety, but you will be required to have a driver for after your exam.

What insurances do you accept?

CDI is contracted with most major insurance providers and HMOs in the area in addition to a multitude of PPO plans. We are also participated providers with both MediCare and Medi-Cal. We offer reasonable payment plans and for non-insured patients we offer competative global cash prices.
